The Zebra-Striped Whale (ZSW) Gourmet Ice Cream & Coffee Cafe opened December 2004 in charming, colonial Newtown, PA. ZSW is a family-owned and operated business dedicated to providing you with premium quality ice cream, coffee, and desserts. We feature custom ice cream cakes, gourmet chocolate pretzel trays, and a frozen granite slab to hand-whirl fabulous toppings into our luscious ice cream—known as Whirlwinds. ZSW is a fun, elegant, eclectic environment—suitable for a friendly get-together, casual business meeting, or family outing. We offer free Wi-Fi, monthly gallery exhibits by local artists, children's picture book library, and delights for all the senses.

Nice atmosphere. Tasty ice cream. Problem is who wants to spend 5 bucks on an ice cream for a kid that they won't likely finish. I avoid ZSW when I'm with the kids, either they are unhappy or I am whenever we leave there. Someone is always disappointed. Ice cream is not supposed to be a downer.

The graham slam and moose trail are my favorites. I also sometimes get the brownie bash! This is the cutest ice cream store I have ever been to. I take all of my friends and family from out of town here.
