Zanzibar Blue is unquestionably a music lover’s destination. Over the years, the Zanzibar Blue stage has been the Philadelphia home for jazz greats Nancy Wilson, Jimmy Scott, Shirley Horn, Ahmad Jamal, Steve Tyrell, Chick Corea, Arturo Sandoval and Chuck Mangione. Live music plays seven nights a week and during Sunday brunch, often with no cover charge. Our own ten-year strong “Evolution of Jazz” series continues to flourish and features the legendary figures of the jazz world along with rising young stars. It’s no wonder that year after year, we’re named Best Jazz Club by every Philadelphia newspaper and magazine including the City Paper and Philadelphia Magazine.
