Yalda's was opened in May of 2007 by Mo Rahpo and his family. Originally the Rahpos are from Afghanistan & as you enter their restaurant, they take you back to their country. With delicious home made food that include grilled kabobs (chicken, lamb, beef, lamb chops, & much more), a kid's menu, and many varieties of dishes that will satisfy your taste buds. So view Our Menu on the left side for a complete list of appetizers, entrees, drinks, & desserts.
With 35 years of experience, you will enjoy fine dining & you can bring your own beverage. Yalda will not burn a hole in your pocket because there is nothing on the menu that is over $17. You'll get more food for the price. So come on down and experience a home cooked Afghan meal. If you don't want to be adventurous, we also have pizza, chessesteaks, pasta, hamburgers, & other selections. The chef can also make dishes that are not on the menu. Let your server know what you would like & the chef will whip up your preference in the kitchen.
So dine in with us or call in for take out. We also deliver to a 2 - 3 mile radius. We are located on Horsham Road & Route 611 across the street from the Days Inn™ Hotel.
Any questions, feel free to call us at 215-444-9502 or 215-444-9503.
Hope to see you soon & we welcome you to our family.
A wonderful find in the wasteland of Route 611 in Horsham. Excepionally friendly and family run with as assortmen of authentic Afghan cuisine. From traditional kabobs to appetizers to wonderful entree's this place is worth a trip. They also have American/Italian as well, but why bother.
Prices are reasonable and the service is friendly and informal-it really is a family run place, so once in awhile you get a few quirks but it just adds to the ambience.
The food was exquisite!!! Chef Mo and Staff(all the same family) are abviously in love with their restaurant and their cuisine.
We asked Mo to choose our first Afghan meal. We were presented with "Nann Like" Bread and two "Tapenades", one tomate and red pepper based, the other Garlic and cilantro based. They were an excellent starter, accompanied by the selection of wine that we brought along(BYOB !!!).
Mo then prepared Bounjaun Bouranee--Grilled Eggplant and Peppers with a beautifully fragrant tomatoe based sauce, with a swirl of yougurt. I assure you that my written description cannot convey the culinary depth of the dish!
As Entrees, we swapped and shared Rack of Lamb and a Chicken Dish beyond description---some sort of cross between Marsala, Masala and Florentine!!!! The accompanying Brown Rice with a touch of light and sweet curry, raisins and carrots was good to the last grain! The grilled vegetables were perfectly matched to our selections.
I am so thrilled to have found this little Gem. It was so good that I wanted to go home, Brush my Teeth and head back out to Yalda for another dish!!!
GO SOON!!!!!!!
Yalda's has the best eggplant parm I have eaten so far. They make it anyway you want it as with all of their dishes. That is their motto. The food is outstanding as well as their server (Riswanna), the Owner's niece. They just make you feel right at home. My husband and I have told several friends so far who have totally enjoyed the food and time spent there also. They will also make you something that is not on the menu. That is what I call HAVING IT ALL!!!!

My girlfriend and I have been going about twice a week for 6 months or so. The prices are great, the staff is wonderful (Mo is awesome!), and the food is ridiculously good. I can't wait for the new menu!
