The second floor is accessed through the main bar. A short climb brings you into the front second floor bar.
Off the main entrance is the Pub Room. This room is host to many awards both Woody and the bar have earned over the years.
Next to the Pub Room is Woody's Coffee Bar, a cozy room to escape all the madness and sit down and talk with friends.

Woody's first floor consists of three rooms. The old Manhattan Lounge is the site of the original bar Woody first opened. This room is referred to as "the main bar", where people gather to chat, cocktail, have lunch (or brunch), and check out all the people entering.

I love it here on the weekends.
Woody's is the most comfortable place for a gay man to feel at home. You are surrounded by every size shape and color of men and woman that love each other. There is the conservative to the lustful. There is no reason to hide who you are at Woody's!
DJ Jason Royce was great bring him back soon! The retro 1970s-80s music was fun. And Madonna-rama was a blast.
They are the only gay bar in Philadelphia that does Country / Western dancing!
Love the cafe, staff, everything about Woody's.

The other places are worse.
This place was a lot more fun when I moved here two years ago - the Latin and hip hop combination night was the best on Thursdays. Then I get a group together and we go and all they're playing is tired and old Latin music, no hip hop and barely anyone was dancing. People were leaving out of boredom long before the lights came up -this never used to happen. It was disappointing but sadly it is still the best of the gay bars here in Philly.
The place is way overrated.....Have been going there 10 years and it has reached it's lowest point - AVOID!!!!
