A graduate, from the Academy of Culinary Arts in 1983. I continued my education with an additional externship to Switzerland at Bachmann Konditori. Upon my return to the United States, I was employed at Resorts International Casino Hotel in Atlantic City. From there I traveled south to Boca Raton, Florida, where I was the Assistant Pastry Chef at the Boca Raton Hotel and Club (largest 5 star, 5 diamond resort in world). During this time I won two ACF gold medals for pastry competitions from the local ACF chapter Two years later, I joined the opening team of the Virgin Grand St. John as the Executive Pastry Chef. It was here that I began my quests for the 1992 Culinary Olympic team. Although I didn’t make the final cut for Team USA in Chicago, I did land my next position with the Walt Disney World Company in Orlando Florida as the Executive Pastry Chef of the Contemporary Resort. A position I held for the next seven years. After leaving Disney, I joined the research and development team of Sweet Street Desserts as Corporate Pastry Chef.
