At The Franklin Fountain brothers Ryan and Eric Berley do the old-school soda fountain theme right - with antique fixtures, and authentic menu of creams and fizzes, and a dedication to the best ingredients. The Berley Brothers are exceptional in displaying the wonderful history of the old fashioned soda fountain along with the unique sundaes, sodas, floats and shakes. Now that's the coolest place I know where you can discover, learn and enjoy an ice cream creation provided by the best of soda jerks Philadelphia has. They are truly the number one ice cream scoopers in Philadelphia.

Great ice cream in all the flavors I can not get anywhere else, such as coconut on a homemade cone with an old fashioned atmosphere that brings me into an era that my grandparents experienced. Great job guys and girls.
This stuff is homemade. Need I say more! And, the owners are there 24/7. You can tell they take pride in their product. This stuff rocks!

Not only are the ice cream sodas and the seltzers great, but you feel like you stepped into the past with the decor of this shop as well as the uniforms of the soda "jerks"

Their ice cream which they make in Philly is absolutely delicious and they have a unique assortment of old-fashioned flavors. If that isn't enough, their old-world ice cream parlor is a pleasure to enter. Being greeted by the sassy handlebar moustache or perfectly parted and slicked down hair of the two charming brothers instantly transports you to a special place.

They truly have the best flavors. I love their blueberry. I love the atmosphere too. My only gripe would be faster service. You guys need to drop the notepads and hide a computer behind that counter!!

Great shoppe, great ice cream, great people, and a great trip to the past! An architects favorite place to go for a cool treat, and even a warm one in the winter! I love this place!
The incredible atmosphere would be enough to make this ice cream shop the best in Philadelphia, but then the quality of the product is...well the cherry on top! The ice cream is supreme. Eric Berley is Philadelphia's real life Willy Wonka.
The Franklin Fountain is the best, not only because they have amazing ice cream and really creative sundaes, but they also take the time to know their customers.
