I would not recommend this training facility. I enrolled my large breed puppy and the first class I was told to use a pinch collar because of her breed. My dog was the best behaved dog in the class. I was appalled to think a training facility would be so judgemental of my breed. During the first class I noticed a dog who should not have been in the class due to aggression issues. This particular dog needed a one on one class and was very disruptive during the class. I enrolled for a positive experience for my puppy and received the exact opposite. The aggressive dog was not controlled properly not properly being trained by the instructor and was nipping at other dogs in the class. The second class this dog nipped my puppy. I made my puppy continue the class. The third class this same aggressive dog was still attending and came up from behind me and bit me in the calf. Luckily I was not bleeding but recieved a large black and blue mark from the bite. When i contacted the facility for a refund and to state my disappointment, I was told I needed to wait for Board approval! They did refund my entire class fee, however, that type of behavior by the instructor and the dog's owner (who didn't even realize their dog had bit me) and the board of directors is unacceptable. I have been to many training facilities and never had this type of experience. The building itself had terrible acoustics which made it nearly impossible to hear the instructor. I would suggest you go to a different faciltiy and instructors for your dogs.
I've brought every dog I've had in the last 20 years and now I have a new Corgi Puppy that
I will be bringing there - Great people - excellent training and trainers
Excellent instructors who are willing to work with all breeds of dogs, including any with "issues". Provide individualized, and when needed, one-on-one instruction.
An excellent place to train you dog, from puppies and beginners to competition level. Excellent instructors that help you bring out the best in your dog. Supportive people that are very knoweldgeable about training, and much more.
Great training with great instructors and a really nice group of people and dogs.
As a "mature" dog owner, I took my first dog - a rescue Golden - to SDTC for basic obedience training. Much to my surprise, I discovered "Rally", a new AKC form of obedience training which is offered by the Club. My dog and I have now gained 2 titles in Rally. Thanks SDC!
Trainers who have won many titles on their dogs. Excellent puppy kindergarten. A place where you can go for one class, or choose to join the Club for ongoing advice, training opportunities, and events.
Great place to take your dog for obedience lessons.
The best dog training club in the area. The instructors and students are supportive and smart and encouraging! I thoroughly enjoy training there and encourage and recommend this club to friends and strangers! If you want a partnership with your dog and new friendships, visit SDTC!
Great trainers and classes!
