Dennis Slack opened the first Slack's Hoagie Shack on November 6 in1988. The store's success was immediate as people flocked to Slack's to buy the best hoagie in Philadelphia, reflected in the purchase of 10,000 sandwiches in the first 2 months of business. There are very few people in the Philadelphia area that have not heard of Slacks as their fame spread due to the quality food and strong customer service. Slack's currently has 16 locations where you can enjoy the best hoagie around.

Great food at a great price so you can really EAT!
Slack's Hoagie Shack produces more than just another good Hoagie. The flavors blend together like no other hoagie. It becomes less a bunch of stuff stacked on a bread and more a fusion of great flavors, resulting in one of the best hoagies I've ever tasted. Slack's also uses quality bread, and the crisp and watery lettuce(instead of the shredded tasteless stuff many places use) aids in the fusion of the flavors.
Side note: The soups served in the winter also serve as great appetizers too.
The Bottom Line: You can't beat Slack's for a quality hoagie. They know what they're doing and how to do it extraordinarily well.
