Sassafras Bar reopened in June of 2008. Great care was taken not to change the character of the classic bar. It boasts original tile and woodwork, dating back to the early 1900s. It's the perfect place to enjoy a classic cocktail or pint with neighborhood friends.

Lamb burgers & Guinness...Neill, Feargus & Mike all rock. This place is the best!
This is a simply fantastic bar in Olde City...I love EVERYTHING about it! The bartenders, the ambiance, the food, the drinks, the music, etc. Come here with friends, family, coworkers, on a date...whatever the occasion...Sassafras is the place to be! Great happy hour and live music on Tuesdays! Also, the perfect place for lunch on the weekends! I cannot say enough good things about this place! If you haven't been...GO! It's a must!

Sassafras has the best food and atmosphere around. They also have a great beer selection. This is a solid bar and certainly the best out of all other Old City spots. I always have a great time when I go and so will you.

Sassafras has the absolute best atmosphere out of all bars in old city. The food is fantastic, the music is always great & the bartenders are the friendliest and most knowledgeable around. They have a great happy hour during the week. I also love coming in on Tuesday nights when they have live music or for lunch on a Saturday or Sunday.
This bar has a really cool vibe and the bartenders know their drinks! I always have a great time at Sassafras...great people, food, drinks, etc.
