This is a great restaurant for several reasons. The food is very good and Chef-Owner John (and his award winning chef-daughter) in the kitchen make it consistently. I've NEVER had a bad meal here. Concetta (owner, maitre-di and loving "camare") constantly walks the tables, talking with guests and making sure everything is right. Pesto has also avoided a recent South Philly restaurant trend to overprice their menu so prices are reasonable too.
Love their Gnocchi!

My wife & I recently dined at Pesto's on the recommendation of a friend. It was a truly rewarding experience from our waiter to the outstanding quality and value of the food. It was a great experience and a restaurant I would go back to without hesitation, as well as recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful Italian meal.
It's the best Italian food...you can eat...its like you're a part of the family as soon as you step in the beautiful place.....#1!
The food at Pesto is like being in Italy--there is not one thing better than another, it is ALL that good. The prices & portions are very nice, too!
