Tucked in a desolate corner on the edge of Philadelphia's hipsterish Northern Liberties neighborhood, Ortlieb's is an easy joint to miss. A dozen blocks from Independence Hall, it is centuries removed from the city's tidy Colonial core.
the real deal!!
Todd's the best bartender around.
Great place great food
Wonderful music! Very different from any jazz club I've been to. Food is great as well.
If you've never been to Ortlieb's Jazz Haus, you have to go. Yes, the outside appearance makes it look like a dive, but go in for the food, the music and the atmosphere! Top notch all the way! This place is a Philly treasure and I hope it never closes. The musical talent is...what can I say? Amazing!
Great Vibes.....the guys did a great job renovating the place, while still maintaining the old charm that is Ortliebs! Cold Beer , Good food and Great music. Always a great time!
Ortlieb's has been one of the best, most intimate places to see world-class jazz musicians, up-close and personal for years. I love the atmosphere, the music, the drinks, and excellent food and the fact that people of all ages, class, races, and backgrounds go to Ortlieb's to share one thing: a true love of great jazz.
Best house band, great jams on Tuesday nights.
Great food and music.
Because they have the good sense to present people like Philly's own legendary drummer Mickey Roker.
Go Ortliebs!
Ortliebs promotes and presents real, swinging jazz.. Audiences will always respond positively when they hear it. Thank you Ortliebs!
Great Jazz, Food, and Atmosphere!
