North Beach Gym was established in November 1995 by Mark and Becky Chamberlain, who saw the need for a friendly, community-centered gym. As Mark has always maintained, "People want somewhere they can come and work out, maybe change their lives, maybe just feel a little bit better about themselves. But they also want to be able to do this in an environment that isn't intimidating. It sounds corny, but at North Beach we really do feel like a family. Working out doesn't have to be hard work."

I have been going to North Beach gym for over a year now!
within this time I have lost 35 lbs and my bmi (body mass index) has been reduced from 49% to 24%.!!!!
When I started I was worried that I could not do weight-lifting or any of the arobic machines because of my health. I have a kidney transplant and a total hip replacement plus I've had two bouts with cancer . I've struggled with a lot of pain dealing with a body that has had over 20+ operations.
But by starting slowly and increasing my workouts gradually and with the help of the staff at north beach, I've gathered the confidence and strength to go back to working part time. now I am happy to be a productive member of my community again!
north beach gym is a great total fitness center and a vital part of my neighborhood.
