Newtown Bicycle Shop has been going strong since 1981.Owner/manager Harry Betz has done long distance cycling as well as racing but aside from those endeviors simply likes bikes and the benefit and joy they can provide people. Harry is a student of cycling and takes pride in his knowledge of the sport and ability to match the bike to the rider. A full service bike store, Newtown Bicycle shop has a friendly, experienced staff and reasonable prices. Whether you need a childs first bicycle, a fun comfortable bike just to get some exercise, a mountain bike or a beach cruiser or maybe an avid cyclist's custom-built dream bike, this is the place!

excellent repairs and tune ups
This shop is run by and for bicyclists. They know what they're doing!
I have bought all of my kids' bikes here. You can count on good service. Timely repairs--the kids hate to wait. My bike is from here, a special little number, and I get compliments on it all the time, just a cruiser but with hot details. I have never been ignored, not even close, no pressure sales, nice for a specialty shop full of real enthusiasts.
Went to visit to check out what they had. The guy with no shoes coundn't be bothered that I came in at all to actually leave his area in the back. After speaking breifly with him i soon realized that it was my privldge to even be in his great presence. What a joke.
Best Dam bike shop around. Harry is crazy about bikes. Love the kids also.
Harry will take care of you! After going to a number of bike shops and people trying to sell me overpriced road bikes the owner chatted with my biking needs and matched me to the perfect price (not the most expensive)!
Now that I own the bike Newtown Bike Shop takes great pride in keeping it running great. All the rest of my bike needs will be done here!
