I believe that owning a piece of well-designed and finely crafted wooden furniture gives a person a deep sense of connection with the past and the natural world. Mt. Airy Custom Furniture is a cooperative workshop located in Northwest Philadelphia. Our gallery displays work by several crafts people from Tennessee and Philadelphia. There you will also be able to see out spacious bench room where design, wood selection and hand tooling takes place. Our studio utilizes many traditional methods of working such as hand-planing, mortise and tension joinery, and shaping of wood with spoke-shaves, gouges and files. We offer customized design services to make furniture that will complement your home or business.
