Great sushi that betters most center city spots. Great pricing, imaginative specialty rolls [gotta try the 'sunburst' or 'cap-n-crunch'], and great service. My wife [a sushi novice-turned-pro] and I go every Friday night. Don't forget to BYOB, too! Just look at the cars in the parking lot to see that, even though the location is in NE Philly, the clientel is coming from the burbs. We've even turned on a few used-to-be sushi haters into Makiman lovers. Just check it out for more reasons to vote Makiman Best of Philly. My wife and I absolutely love it there. Makiman Sushi, is the BEST Sushi in NE Philly. Hands down, there is no other place that has the freshest Sushi anywhere. I eat there all the time. I usually get their cap n' crunch roll. They also have great shirmp tempura, and regular cooked entrees. The have a lot of fusion rolls. Each one is so different and it taste like their is a party in my mouth. It's a nice small, quaint location. The place is great. The prices are reasonable. I highly recommend it.

I've been frequenting Makiman Sushi for lunch since they opened. Service staff always greets customers with smiles food is exceptional!
