A new and refreshing café located in ever-expanding Northern Liberties, Higher Grounds celebrated it’s grand opening in January 2006. With the new incarnation of it's already great location, Higher Grounds hopes to pour something new and refreshing back into the community with its free wireless service, local artist exhibitions, and acoustic musical performances. Our late hours give another alternative to the already diverse and growing neighborhood.

Higher grounds has the best coffee and Christine and Tony what more could a girl want? Plus I get to bring my very large dog in and am never met with anything but smiles and pets for her when I do!

Best iced coffee anywhere. Yummy biscotti, and always new flavors. Thanks, Tony's mom. Sammy favorites are the jalapeno cheese and granny smith apple on honey wheat and the awesome egg, cheese and tomato. Great teas. Christine and Tony are the best.
Great iced coffee! Unusual selection of food items from Samosa platters to a sandwich of jalapeño cheese and granny smith apple slices on honey wheat bread grilled in the panini machine.
Their sausage, egg, & cheese sandwiches are the best hangover cure known to man.

By far the raddest coffee house in philly !! Excellent food ,soup,salads..great vegan cakes !!! A variety of exotic teas and great coffee!! My # 1 pick for the whole east coast.. Artwork is awesome and always changing...always good vibes
