Lee (the owner of the shop) is such a sweet, cool, easy going, down to earth women. she really treats her customers like the her family and like the the favorite one in the family. the price are not to low or high. the shop is full of stuff but neat and tidy (unlike the local competition)
What a great assortment of antiques and collectibles. The story is well named, it's always a blast to wander in there. There is truly something for everyone. Every time I shop there I find something that brings back a forgotten childhood memory as well as something that makes me howl with laughter. Absolutely one of the city's best finds and the owner is a delight. Anyone who hasn't been there is missing out on a truly delightful opportunity.

The owner of FUNHOUSE has a really good eye for the quirky, the unusual, not the same old run-of- the-mill kind of merchandise. She also knows her stuff...she knows the difference between what's collectible and what's not; she keeps up on trends so she knows what's hot and what's not. She is also very honest...I've gotten lots of great items for myself from FUNHOUSE. Plus this store has been a life-saver whenever I need to purchase a gift, I know I'll always find something great at FUNHOUSE. In my opinion it's a best store in Philly!

Things I saw there I'd wish I'da bought; embroider slipper for a bound "lotus foot", old ventriloquist's dummy, leather bound German "magic mirror".
Usually I find myself walking in to the fun house when I'm searching for a random gift for people. And end up leaving with a few things for myself too...
The Funhouse is Amazing!!! It is jam packed with everything imaginable. You can spend hours searching for the perfect gift for someone else or, In my case, Overindulging in the most ridiculous gifts for yourself! You can't find an Aunt Jamima pot holder at Ikea!!!
