Its time to HIT THE DECK! Cavanaugh's River Deck, the city's largest outdoor deck and dance floor, is open for its sixth season on the Delaware River, carrying a seventy-year Irish tradition in Philadelphia. Casual outdoor dining and dancing does not get better than this! The 17,000 sq. ft. Cavanaugh's offers a variety of dining areas, all with expansive views of the Delaware River and an up-close view of the Ben Franklin Bridge. Our energetic staff will expertly tend to all of your dining needs, whether that's a business luncheon, a romantic dinner, or a night out with friends. We also accommodate large parties of up to 400 people for sit-down dinners or up to 1500 people for cocktail parties. Join us for Happy Hour Monday through Friday 5-7pm where you call your drinks for only $3 and enjoy half-price appetizers at any one of six full-service bars. Sunday Brunch is served from noon til four with $5 mimosas and bloody mary's. There are hot DJ's every Friday and Saturday and Reggae music every Sunday.

Me and my husband went last weekend and the waitresses were scrambled all around didn'tknow what tables they were assigned to and joked about it, our wings cam out still cold inside the clams caasino was like minced yelk, and the cream of mushroom soup was like mushroom soup put into a blender and puruaid..not good at all the prices for the drinks were out rages..the only good thing about this place is you are outside but then the mosquitos started and we left.

I've been to many clubs, hanging outside at the deck is the best.
Great club, tons of girls on Fridays and Saturdays.
They are on the water, great dj and attentive staff.
I voted Cavanaugh's, they are always having the best happy hours.

Awesome atmosphere, beautiful location, great specials and great music AND they have a smoking section...you can't beat that!!!

I was very disappointed when I went to the river deck. My friend had booked a party there a month ago and she even confirmed the reservations that day. When we arrived the place had no record of her reservation and they wouldn't accept a credit card as payment for the evening. We had reservations and they couldn't even give us a table.
Where else can you get open air (perfect for smokers), an awesome bit of scenery and the hottest bartenders?!
