One of the best places to go to just relax...great owners, friendly staff, tasty food, reasonable prices and very good drinks! A family place with a twist.....something for everyone....even a huge fish tank in the middle of the boat shaped decor!! Always a nice time!
we have been going to Campbell's Boat House since they opened in the 70's
and have never had a bad meal . The service is also great!!!
Love the Boathouse!! Feels like home when we go there. Food is always delicious. Staff is always friendly and accomodating. Very kid friendly, but great for just the two of us too.
The Boathouse is the best! I love Jeannie's shrimp salad, it is to die for! Great place to meet friends to watch a game, eat delicious food and drinks!
There is no place like the Boat House. It's the"Cheers" of Media, PA...everyone knows your name! The soups, roast beefs & crabcake sandwiches are a must taste experience. The bar is the coolest place to hang out for families and singles alike...nothing else like this family run business!!!
Our family LOVES the Boat House - especially the kids! They have great entrees, seafood, chili, sandwiches, and more! We've always had great meals there. It's a wonderful family dining experience.

Fresh and affordable seafood! FINALLY! Great service, very welcoming and the decor made me fell like I was down the shore. A place where you can take the whole family out to dinner. I will come back again and again.
Staff is great with kids, my kids love it and my husband and I always enjoy ourselves. Relaxed atmosphere, and we love the Grilled Reubens and Chicken Breast Sandwiches! Our kids always get Stewart's Root beer and Chicken Fingers! It is clean and friendly.
The Boat House has been a favorite of ours for years.....we will go even more once PA passes the non-smoking law in the next month or so. We've always requested to sit in the smoke-free room off the back or out on the patio- which is delightful....but now the entire place will be smoke-free by law! And we can enjoy the boat bar, T.V.'s and atmosphere out front!!!
Although the previous review was average, we feel the Boat House has delicious choices to offer other than steamed shrimp- the crabs, homemade soups, roast beef sandwich, and chicken cheesesteak are all favorites! It's unfortunate about the stale bread, although that must have been a fluke, I hope it was brought to the server's attention!
We went last night and it was disappointing. While the steamed shrimp were good, the rest of the food was average (with a serious thumbs down on their stale bread). In addition, while we were seated in the No Smoking section, it did not make a difference when the bar patrons that were 5 feet away started smoking.
Jean's shrimp salad is a must-try at The Boat! The homemade soup are simply outstanding and mouth-watering....as is famous rice pudding! Cold crisp salads with the most unbelievable Homemade Blue Cheese dressing anywhere!!! Always service with a smile every single time!!!
Been a regular customer since the 70s, 3rd generation owners, ambiance like no other- the indoor boat bar is the coolest, its hard to designate non-smoking in a place that has a bar as its center point- at least not until PA passes the N/S law...they have renevated through the years and there is a non-smoking area in the back of the building, but most times people just want to enjoy the atmosphere! Big screen T.V., great for watching sports, the best wings and steamers around! Homemade soups are the best! Always something new and different on special. A true family feel, which is what we need these days instead of all the chain restaurants. There is something to be said when staff stays working with a restaurant for 5 + years! Keep the Boat floating!
We always have a great meal at this place. Bartenders and wait staff are tops. It seems to be a "family" run business and everyone goes out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and are enjoying your meal. Their seafood is outstanding as well as their roast beef platters and club sandwiches. If you are looking for that SPECIAL place to call your own - look no farther. It's the Boathouse in Media.
Great place to watch football.
Friendly staff, clean place, fun decorations, plenty of parking, nice variety on the menu, high quality food - nicely presented, great draft beer selection, fun music, TVs everywhere, all ESPN all the time. A really nice place - reasonably priced. The kind of place that you will want to return to - over, and over, and over again. Captain Bob, you got it right!
