For 200 years, the Academy has connected people to nature. As Philadelphia's natural history museum, we educate visitors of all ages. Our scientists study evolution, biodiversity and ecology, providing information critical to understanding the natural world. These efforts are supported by a collection of 17 million biological specimens and a celebrated natural history library.

It doesn't matter how old I get; I will always be fascinated (and slightly spooked) by this museum.
The Academy of Natural Sciences handles some of the best and most interesting and educational birthday parties in the region. For the one fee, you get uo to 20+ kids/adults, your own personal tour guide/instructor, and a party room. For a little extra you can get a theme party which includes the party paper goods, cake, goodies and child gift! All you have to bring are the drinks and the kids!
There are several themes, Dinosaur, Animal, Butterfly, or others if you want to get more creative or pay a little more. The tour includes a 75-minute review of at up to 5 exhibits. The focus depends on the Tour Guide and the Theme of the party. my favorites are the Dinosaur Parties. As a Dinosaur Educator at the museum for almost 10 years and many dinosaur digs under my belt, I make sure that these are the must intriguing and fun 2 hours your group can have in a museum! We can do personal tours as well, just call ahead and ask for PaleoPatti! Pictured is a dino party tour in the Big Dino Dig with Dino Educator Patti Kane-Vanni.
